Short Description

GL Accountant reports to GL Team supervisor. This position provides support and follows direction of
senior accountants, shadows staff accountants to learn and refine accounting skills and decision-making
abilities; this person is responsible for processing, recording, maintaining and reconciling accounts,
preparing reports in compliance with established policies and regulations with manager’s direction.

Position is introduction to senior accountant role

This position will facilitate both written and verbal business activities in Polish and English to ensure clear
understanding in both languages.


  • Assisting staff accountants in performing general ledger functions
  •  Posting journal entries and reconciling GL accounts
  •  Analysing and reconciling bank statements and general ledgers
  •  Assisting with review of expenses, accruals, payroll records etc. as assigned
  •  Preparing VAT returns
  •  Assisting in tax and Financial Statements preparation for EMEA
  •  Assisting with timely and accurate period-end closing
  •  Reconciling balance sheet accounts
  •  Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyse, and interpret relevant financial information
  •  Collaborating with external auditors
  •  Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred Accounting or Finance
  • Fluency in Polish and basic in English (Multilingual a plus)
  •  3-5 years’ experience in Finance – with specific 2 years in General Ledger
  •  Computer skills (Financial system: SAP preferred), experience in MS Excel (essential)
  •  Exceptional attention to detail
  •  Superb time-management and organizational skills
  •  Strong drive to develop personally
