Job Summary:

The Director of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for finding and managing partners, defining objectives and timelines, establishing repeatable, data-driven practices, and overseeing a program that drives meaningful revenue and retention.  The director should be entrepreneurial, strategic, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment plus creative and data-driven to solve complex business problems with a 'get-it-done' attitude.  Working cross functionally with Sales leadership, Product Development and Marketing to develop and execute partner programs is integral to the success of our business and the evolution of our partnerships.

The successful candidate will be paramount to delivering top line growth for the business by developing integrations at a highly technical level. Work across every function in the business to develop a plan for each of the products in the suite. By developing a deep understanding of the products you will ultimately commercialize this and open new doors for yourself and the company.
•    Conduct business research on prospects, opportunities, and segments to develop and execute a comprehensive new logo acquisition strategy
•    Responsible for keeping ahead of the market and continuously helping to position product offerings on the cutting edge of market needs.
•    Oversight of strategy, the business development roadmap, and partner outreach.
•    Partner with business line managers to build/implement programs, identify new business prospects and cross-sell opportunities
•    Develop and expand key relationships with clients and partners.
•    Represent the firm as a spokesperson at conferences and on panels.

 

What You'll Do:

•    Visioning: Develop the strategy for the Strategic Partnerships team, consistent with the DFIN Strategic Plan. Lead and grow initiatives to target, evaluate and recruit new Capital Markets and Investment Companies’ partners and identify how DFIN solutions deliver benefits to public and private companies
•    Cross-functional Alignment: Align with other executives at DFIN on that strategy, ensuring buy-in from the executive team and leaders in Sales, Product Management, Sales Enablement, and Professional Services (among other departments). 
•    Leadership: Build and Manage a team supporting DFIN’s partnerships with the objective of expanding the existing relationships and developing future partnerships. Develop assets to empower partners to position the DFIN Products as a standard, must-have solutions for their portfolio
•    Execution: Lead and implement partnership strategies for delivering education and thought leadership to firms and their portfolios, joint account planning with partners, repeatable playbooks and collateral to enable partners, and regular cadences for firm/portfolio performance reviews. Set Objectives and Key Results that are consistent with that agreed-upon strategy; drive execution on the team to achieve those targets consistently; and create a high-performance, accountability culture
•    Revenue Growth:  Drive revenue to and from our current and future partners.
•    Executive Sponsorship: Be the executive in meetings with the senior-most representatives from our partners
•    Champion: Serve as an ongoing internal champion of these partnerships as needed and ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and fulfill their obligations towards the success of the partnerships

 

What We're Looking For:

•    Experience: 10+ years of strategic/business partnership experience at an Enterprise SaaS/software firm.   Experience in Capital Markets and/or Asset Management a plus
•    Executive Relationships: History of building external relationships with very senior executives
•    Strong Business Instincts: Exercises good judgment in making decisions with limited data; understands deeply the business reasons for partnerships, how they relate to DFIN’s company strategy, and how they benefit the partner; would gain the trust of DFIN’s executive team
•    Strategic Problem-Solving: Asks astute questions, learns quickly, leverages data, and creates frameworks to represent a problem and identify the right solution
•    Communication & EQ: Listens well, reads non-verbal cues, uses specific language, projects confidence, navigates difficult conversations (internal & external) with grace, persuasive
