Summary:

The Corporate Controller’s Group is responsible for corporate accounting, the consolidation of financial results, the preparation and issuance of the Form 10-Q, Form 10-K and other filings with the SEC and establishing the Company’s accounting policies. The senior accountant is a key member of the Corporate Controller’s Group and will have responsibilities for certain corporate accounting, consolidation and SEC reporting activities.

Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for certain key Corporate Accounting areas, which could include areas such as Leases, Debt, Investments, Goodwill and Pension, among others
•    Assist in the monthly close process and consolidation of financial results to ensure results are prepared in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s policies
•    Perform analytical procedures to understand the drivers behind changes during the period
•    Assist with the external reporting process including the rollforward and preparation of Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and other SEC filings, including preparing supporting documentation, performing tie-outs, reviewing XBRL tagging and reviewing disclosure requirements
•    Assist with rollforward tie-out and review of earnings releases, earnings call scripts and other supporting schedules 
•    Assist with the completion of the US GAAP disclosure checklist and research disclosure requirements and examples as needed
•    Monitor ASU projects progress and summarize new guidance impact on Company
•    Assist in updating and implementing accounting policies and process documentation
•    Assist with preparing materials for the Disclosure Committee
•    Perform research and prepare memos covering both recurring processes and unique accounting transactions, as needed
•    Coordinate with other parties outside of Corporate Controller’s group, including members of the finance organization (e.g., Investor Relations, Tax, etc.) and external auditors
•    Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, such as the implementation of new accounting standards and system implementations

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
•    Minimum 3-4 years of related work experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 firm experience required)
•    Knowledge of US GAAP required; CPA strongly preferred
•    Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal, analytical and time management skills required
•    Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
•    Strong technical and analytical skills
•    Proficiency in MS Office products – intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
•    Prior SEC reporting experience preferred but not required
•    Aptitude to learning new software and systems instrumental to accounting, consolidation and financial reporting (BPC, SAP, OneStream etc.)
