Summary:
The Capital Markets Partner Account Executive (PAE) is a strategic, revenue-generating role responsible for developing, managing, and expanding DFIN’s relationships with key external partners, including law firms, advisory firms, and private equity sponsors.
This role focuses on originating new revenue opportunities across DFIN’s full product portfolio—ActiveDisclosure, Venue, Compliance, Proxy, and Transactions—by embedding DFIN more deeply within partner ecosystems and driving referral-based and co-sell motions.
The PAE serves as a trusted advisor to partners, aligning DFIN’s capabilities to partner and client needs and positioning DFIN as the partner of choice throughout the capital markets transaction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner Strategy & Relationship Management
- Build, develop, and maintain executive-level relationships across law firms, advisory firms, and private equity sponsors
- Establish DFIN as a strategic partner by aligning DFIN solutions to partner business priorities and client needs
- Drive structured partner coverage and engagement plans, including regular touchpoints, joint account planning, and pipeline reviews
- Expand DFIN’s share of wallet within partner ecosystems by increasing visibility and engagement across partner networks
- Revenue Generation & Opportunity Creation
- Identify, originate, and qualify new transaction and compliance opportunities sourced through partner relationships
- Drive pipeline creation across all DFIN product lines, including:
- Transactions (IPO, M&A, SPAC, follow-on offerings)
- ActiveDisclosure (financial reporting and SaaS solutions)
- Venue (deal management platform)
- Proxy and compliance solutions
- Partner closely with GCMs, DCMs, and product specialists to advance and close opportunities
- Lead or support co-selling motions with partners on high-value opportunities
Additional Responsibilities
- Partner-Led Go-to-Market Execution
- Drive referral-based and partner-led deal origination, particularly within law firm and private-equity-driven transaction flows
- Develop and execute joint go-to-market initiatives, including events, roadshows, thought leadership, and campaigns
- Position DFIN within partner-led engagements as a value-added extension of the partner team
- Support partners in client-facing situations, including presentations, deal strategy, and solution positioning
- Transaction & Lifecycle Expertise
- Maintain a deep understanding of the capital markets transaction lifecycle and key stakeholders (legal, finance, advisory)
- Align DFIN solutions to partner and client needs across pre-deal, active deal, and post-transaction compliance phases
- Support partners with transaction readiness, positioning, and execution strategies
- Partner with Transaction Account Managers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and a high-quality client experience
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Orchestrate internal DFIN resources, including GCMs, DCMs, Solution Engineers, Transaction Account Managers, and Service teams, to support partner opportunities
- Ensure alignment across Sales, Service, and Product teams to deliver a consistent and high-quality experience
- Collaborate on account planning and expansion strategies for jointly covered partner opportunities
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in capital markets, financial reporting, legal, or advisory environments
- Demonstrated success building, managing, and monetizing strategic partner relationships
- Deep understanding of transactional workflows and multi-stakeholder ecosystems
- Proven ability to drive complex, multi-product sales cycles
- Executive presence with the ability to influence partners and senior client stakeholders
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams
