The Director SRE and DevOps delivers results and is focused on execution by:
• Advancing SRE and DevOps disciplines and technologies.
• Defining, planning, managing SRE and DevOps work.
• Building a team for success that is focused on winning for the firm and the team.
• Setting and achieving difficult goals through motivation and execution.
• Being fully aligned to the Engineering and Product teams.

Responsibilities:

• Take Responsibility. Lead a team by example and take an ownership stake in roadmap planning, execution and delivery. Define SRE and DevOps strategy and goals aligned to roadmap.
• Deliver stable and efficient cloud infrastructure and CI/CD to optimize software delivery across production, QA and development environments by conceptualizing work and creating project plans with value driven milestones.
• Maintain and Improve SaaS product performance and reliability, achieving SLAs through active monitoring and compliance with SLIs and SLOs and 365/24/7 incident triage. Lead and participate in on-call.
• Software. Create a focus inside the team to support our software development teams and Software Development Lifecyle to optimize productivity and eliminate silos.
• Management. Maintain team management structures for individuals, leads and career progression. Be a steward of budgeting practices.
• Efficient. Pride yourself on using what you have to the best of your abilities. Be it current talent, budget, tooling, – make the most out of everything before starting over.
• Scale Yourself Maintaining operational product environments is not easy and problems will constantly rise. This role requires multiplying your impact through operational problems, defects, requirements, and processes. Be willing to take this on yourself and create more versions of yourself to deliver.
• Be flexible in your expectations, goal settings, technology choice by adapting to change.
• Communicate consistently status of products and services and Incident triage.
• Challenges team members.
• Recruit, train and build teams for success.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills – ability to motivate people, instill accountability, perform under pressure, and optimize the team's resources to attain the business goals
• Strong management skills – ability to interact and manage stakeholders to develop requirements, conceptualize work plans with value driven milestones and manage team to deliver value against committed timelines
• Excellent knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps principles and best practices, including experience optimizing and maintaining fault-tolerant distributed cloud native SaaS systems, CI/CD and continuous delivery systems, APM and performance improvement and cloud operations on-call, and Infrastructure as Code
• Excellent knowledge of new technology trends in Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps and applications in distributed cloud native SaaS systems
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience building, developing, managing and leading SRE or DevOps teams
• 10+ years of software development on revenue generating systems and applications with a record of success.
