Summary:
The Translator is part of the In-House Linguist Team which provides various linguist services such as translation, editing and proofreading to the global capital market clients in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:

Perform English to Chinese (and vice versa) linguistic tasks including translation and proofreading for IPOs and other legal/financial documents

Maintain close communication with internal and external translators, referring to glossary and client directions to improve the content and making corrections to tone in the various Chinese languages or grammatical errors throughout a piece of content.

Proofread and check completeness and accuracy of translation work

Perform glossary research, compiling and validation

Utilize appropriate Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools in the translation process as required

Communicate project status to Senior Translators and Chief Editor
Qualifications:

University graduate, preferably in translation, linguistics, communications, or related disciplines

Excellent bilingual ability in both English & Chinese, knowledge of other language is preferred

Skilful with MS Office applications and Acrobat, as well as a strong knowledge of desktop publishing software and online-based translation memory tools is highly preferred

Detail-oriented team player and can communicate effectively

Able to work independently, prioritize workload and meet tight schedules
-
Shift work required (07:30 to 15:30, 10:00 to 18:00, 15:30 to 23:30) with attractive allowance)

5 days' work week (Tuesday to Saturday)

Overtime work is required (with pay)
