Summary:
Operate cutting, folding, and binding equipment. Oversee outputs for quality and make any necessary adjustments to machinery. This position requires working a 2nd shift schedule.
Physical Demands:
The job requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Responsibilities:
- Use standard processes and preventative measures to work safely.
- Follow job instructions, setup and adjust machines to operate efficiently.
- Operate Polar Cutters, to cut paper stock to required stock size.
- Operate high speed roll fed MBO Folders and Horizon Folders, to fold sheets into signatures, booklets, pamphlets, or letters.
- Operate Horizon Book Binders, to bind book blocks and covers into books.
- Work independently and in a team setting, with minimal direction.
- This position includes some overtime requirements.
Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in a manufacturing setting.
- 1+ years’ experience in operating cutting, folding and binding equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to problem solve.
- Good communication skills, verbal and in writing.
- Self-managed and motivated; organized and detail oriented.
