The position of Product Manager will be within the Global Investment Markets (GIM) Product Management team. This team is responsible for overseeing the evolution of web-based platforms that service the investment market industry. Product management is fundamentally about thinking on your feet, staying one step ahead of your competitors, and being able to project yourself into the minds of your colleagues and your customers.The position requires the candidate to be an analytical thinker. Product management, especially in highly dynamic environments like the web, involves making lots of small decisions on a daily basis. Part of the role involves earning authority and leading by influence. Leadership and interpersonal skills are critical for this position.The position requires wearing multiple hats. Your job will be the advocate for whoever isn’t currently in the room - the customer, engineering, sales, executives and support team. This requires a candidate that has both a high technical and business acumen.


You will have two main responsibilities:

1) Assess product opportunity

  • Talk to users of the application on a daily basis. Forming relationships with them and having a expert level of understand of how they use our software. Understanding the target market.
  • Build a working knowledge of the competitive landscape and what our differentiators are.
  • Work with internal stakeholder to form product councils that drive product strategy and modernization.
  • Conduct qualitive and quantitative product testing to build metrics that influence product decision making.

2) Define the product to be built

  • Assist in the analysis and design of new business processes around requirements definition, information gathering, and consistent documentation methodologies
  • Using multiple information gathering techniques, conduct facilitated design sessions with customers to define detailed business requirements for solution development.  Establish and maintain clear scope boundaries for the solution.  .   
  • Develop precise documentation of prioritized functional requirements that can directly be converted to test plans, use cases, and system conceptual designs to meet performance targets and development project plans.
  • Assist in translating requirements and use cases to the designers, ensuring there is a clear and concise understanding of requirements.  
  • Review test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in reviews of the designs, prototypes and other  project work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor degree is essential
  • Minimum of  1 - 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Having a strong understanding of accounting and finance an advantage.
