Summary:

Operates conventional forklift, complying with all OSHA safety standards and regulations.

Responsible for driving forklift truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or fork-elevating platform to move raw paper materials, in process products and finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse. Prepare and process distribution for shipments including packaging products, affixing labels, creating necessary documentation and loading and unloading semi-trailer trucks.

 

$3,000 Sign-on Bonus. 

 

Successful Candidate will be required to present acceptable proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before working onsite at DFIN.

 

Schedule:
2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Overtime required as/when needed
Every other weekend, if necessary

Physical Requirements:
Strength
Medium Work Job requires ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Walking and standing frequently (2/3 of the time).

 

Responsibilities:

Must be skilled in operating forklift trucks throughout the warehouse and in loading and unloading trucks. Maintain accurate inventory and report any discrepancies. May load or unload materials onto or off of pallets or skids. Perform safety checks on lifts and regular maintenance such as recharge batteries or replace liquefied-gas tank. Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reporting inventory utilizing a materials management system. May organize and assign storage space utilized in warehousing and moving materials in the departments. Prepare and process distribution for shipments. This includes packaging product in cartons or powerpacks, creating and affixing the proper labels and creating the necessary paperwork. Ensure on time shipments.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and skill in the handling of controls for driving forklift.
Ability to read and interpret job instructions
Ability to perform arithmetic and effectively utilize a scale to package product
Ability to work independently and problem solve
Basic Microsoft Office skills i.e., Word, Excel
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Attention to detail and focus on accuracy and quality


General Education and Work Requirements
Education Level Equivalent to 8th grade plus additional classes
Reasoning Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instr.. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
Mathematics Able to uses arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages.
Language Reading: Able to follow work instr. and recognize most words used in daily work processes. Able to read instr. for assembling equip.. Able to communicate through writing compound and complex sentences, using proper punctuation and employing adjectives and adverbs.
