Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Communications, this role is key to executing company-wide strategic communications plans.  The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating engaging experiences for employees. Must be able to support enterprise-wide projects and initiatives for internal communications and beyond, with ability to reshape content in a manner appropriate for multiple channels. 

Responsibilities:

Strategic: 

  • Represent Corporate Communications to IT, Marketing, Human Resources and various other teams companywide
  • Support strategic planning for major initiatives
  • Support the design and implementation of communication strategies
  • Ability to lead through change and react quickly to new information
  • Up to date on latest industry trends/best practices and ability to introduce new concepts into the organization
  • Comfortable working with and fostering connections with all career levels, including senior leaders 

 

Tactical: 

  • Ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values
  • Design and document workflows 
  • Ensure that content moves through all reviews and strategic channels seamlessly
  • Optimize and repackage content (language, tone, message) based on target audience and channel
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in support of your own work and the work of others
  • Manage website design in partnership with external vendor 
  • Support social content creation 
  • Proficient in designing, editing, and best practice use for Microsoft SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Organize and evolve editorial calendar
  • Organize and facilitate employee engagement activities, company meetings, and workshops

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in communications with a minimum of 2 years in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or related field 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Professional with experience in writing, content management, and project management
  • Ability to write and tailor content for specific audiences and demonstrate an understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs
  • Comfortable learning new programs and adopting new technology to enhance company-wide communication
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exposure to Legal and Financial Industries a plus
  • Video editing and graphic design capability a plus
